Antonino Scandurra is a lute maker from Catania known as a master of Italian lute making, and he is appreciated by many famous concert players. My guitar is from 1989, and it’s made of fir. Time has bestowed upon it an unmistakable timbre for which I feel a lot of affection, and to which I always return after the most reckless electric acrobatics. The effect it has on me is that of going back home. Needless to say I soon feel the need to go away again.
